Ouagadougou University has granted the Leader honorary law doctorate

In appreciation and gratitude for his leading role in unifying the African continent, and due to his revered services to humanity as a whole, across the world through the Third World Theory ( the Green Book) in its three volumes, in major ceremony hosted Friday by Ouagadougou University in the presence of President Blaise Compaore of Burkina, the current President of the CEN-SAD Community, the speaker of the National Assembly, members of the Burkinabe government, the Dean of the faculty, members of the teaching staff and students of the university, Ouagadougou University granted an honorary law doctorate to the Leader of the Revolution.

This is yet another award besides scores of doctorates granted to the Leader by major universities in many parts of the world, in recognition of his contributions.

Upon the Leader's arrival at Ouagadougou University, he was received by President Blaise Compaore, Minister of Higher Education and members of the teaching staff at the Ouagadougou University. The leader was presented with a bouquet of flowers as a sign of appreciation of students and members of the teaching staff at the university.

Then, the Leader accompanied by President Compaore, opened Serte and African Union auditoriums at Ouagadougou University, and unveiled the curtain of the two signboards carrying their names and cut the ribbon as a sign of opening the auditoriums.

The Leader of the Revolution greeted the large number of student who crowded to salute him whom were carried his portraits, green flags and placards expressing their delight for the presence of the Leader among them, welcoming his arrival and chanting slogans for his long life and that of the great al-Fateh Revolution.

Then, the official ceremony of awarding an honorary doctorate in law to the Leader started. At outset of the celebration organized at Sirte auditorium at the university, the Head of the Ouagadougou University made a speech, saluting the Leader of the Revolution and President Blaise Compaore, expressing the delight of every body by the presence of the Leader Mu'ammer al-Gathafi at Ouagadougou University in this visit which he termed as an historical visit which it will leave great positive impression on students and professors of the Ouagadougou University. He indicated this visit embodies commitment of the Leader of the Revolution in the persistent work for Africa of tomorrow.

"We celebrate today granting the honorary law doctorate to the renowned great son of Africa, the Leader Mu'ammer al-Gathafi whom he owes us a grace, and this academic distinction we confer on the leader today is acknowledgement and appreciation of his efforts" he said.

He disclosed in his speech, that the forthcoming plan of the University includes opening a department for Arabic studies, a big university center, and a dormitory to be named ?Muammar alGahtfi Dormitory".

The Burkinabe minister of Higher Education also spoke in the occasion expressing his delight and that of the teaching staff as well as student by the presence of the Leader Muammar al-Gathafi in Ouagadougou University. He highlighted the level of the fraternal relations between Great Jamahiriya and Burkina in various political, economic, and social fields.

Then, president of the University read the decision of the University which provides for granting the leader a law doctorate. Afterwards, the President of the University and one member of the teaching Staff at Ouagadougou University presented the Leader with the uniform of the university and awarded him the honorary doctorate.
