Tourist resort on Farwa island will be ready in 44 months
 

2005-02-08 Tourism is flourishing in Libya, and work is growing rapidly to improve the country?s tourism infrastructure.


Now, a world tourist resort will be built in the Libyan island of Farwa with a partnership between al-Niqat al Khamis municipality, Farwa for Tourism, and the Italian Norman group, one of the biggest companies working in investment field.

Part of the resort is to be built on the island, and the other part on the coast, with the aim to keep the remaining area of the island as a natural reserve.

The resort will include six big hotels, two 5 star hotels and four4 star ones, in addition to an oasis of 70 tents equipped with the most modern services on the form of suits, besides floating tents, golf course, two Yacht platforms, and other services.

The 44 month project will be implemented on an area of 471 hectares with a total cost of ?300 million.
